Terms of Use

Last updated: March 21, 2026

By adding SquadBot to your Discord server or using its features, you agree to these terms of use in their entirety. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use the service.

1. Service overview

SquadBot is a free Discord bot that automatically sends notifications to a Discord channel whenever a member of a server goes live on Twitch. The service is provided free of charge, without any guarantee of permanent availability.

SquadBot is not affiliated with Discord Inc. or Twitch Interactive, Inc. These trademarks and their logos are the property of their respective owners.

2. Access requirements

To use SquadBot, you must:

  • Have a valid Discord account and comply with Discord's Terms of Service.
  • Be an administrator or have the necessary permissions on the Discord server where you wish to add the bot.
  • Meet the minimum age required by Discord in your country of residence (13 years old in most countries).

3. How it works

SquadBot operates as follows:

  • Using the /setup command, an administrator configures a notification channel, a role to monitor and a role to mention.
  • The bot monitors Discord members with the designated role and attempts to match their Discord display name with a Twitch username.
  • When a Twitch stream is detected, a notification is automatically sent to the configured channel, including the streamer's name, current game, a link to the channel, and a stream thumbnail.

Important condition: the match between the Discord display name and the Twitch username is based on the name shown on the Discord server. If these two identifiers differ, SquadBot will not be able to detect the stream.

4. Acceptable use

By using SquadBot, you agree not to:

  • Use the bot for illegal purposes or in violation of Discord's or Twitch's terms of service.
  • Attempt to circumvent, hack, or disrupt the bot's operation.
  • Use the bot to send spam, abusive content, or misinformation.
  • Configure the bot in a way that harasses users or sends unwanted notifications.
  • Attempt to access data from other servers or users.

5. Service availability

SquadBot is provided as is and free of charge. We do not guarantee continuous availability, the absence of bugs, or systematic detection of all Twitch streams in real time.

The service may be interrupted, modified, or discontinued at any time without notice.

6. Intellectual property

SquadBot, its source code, interface, and graphic assets are the property of the service publisher. Any unauthorised reproduction, modification, or distribution is prohibited.

Discord™ and Twitch™ are registered trademarks belonging to their respective owners. SquadBot is neither official nor affiliated with these platforms.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the publisher of SquadBot shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damages resulting from use of the service, missed or delayed notifications, or any loss related to a service interruption.

8. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated at any time. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page. By continuing to use SquadBot after an update, you accept the revised terms.

9. Termination

You may stop using SquadBot at any time by removing the bot from your Discord server. The publisher reserves the right to suspend access to the bot for any server or user that violates these terms.

10. Contact

For any questions regarding these terms, you can contact us via our official Discord server or at the email address listed on our Discord bot profile.
